WESTBOROUGH — A South County Physical Therapy program geared toward patients who have undergone treatment for many types of cancers is growing rapidly.
South County’s Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation (STAR) Program aims to “bridge the gap” in cancer care, according to physical therapist Jennifer Goyette.
Goyette said STAR was created by Julie Silver, MD, a local physician who underwent breast cancer treatment herself, and recognized a need for survivorship care and rehabilitation.
South County’s Westborough office, located at 30 Oak St., now has five therapists who are certified in STAR.
