WESTBOROUGH _ On Tuesday, June 17 from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m., South County Physical Therapy, Inc. (SCPT) participated in the “Care Options Fair,” hosted by the Westborough Council on Aging. The Fair took place at the Westborough Senior Center, 2 Rogers Road, in Westborough and featured 22 regional organizations which provide important care and service to the elderly.

“This was a wonderful event that South County Physical Therapy was proud to participate in again this year,” said Cathy Hoover-Smith, Founder and CEO of SCPT. “The Care Options Fair enables seniors and their families an opportunity to learn about the numerous services beneficial to their health and well being.”

SCPT has six locations in four towns within Central Massachusetts, and for nearly 30 years has been dedicated to providing the highest quality in personalized and rehabilitative care. Part of that care has always involved the senior population.

“At SCPT our therapists offer a variety of treatments that can aid seniors in the myriad of ailments they may face as they age,” said Hoover-Smith. “Many area physicians refer their senior patients to us because we have nearly three decades of experience and expertise in understanding and treating age-related physical issues. We believe in helping our senior patients stay active and live their lives to their fullest physical potential.”

Services that SCPT are most known for providing to seniors include:  treatment of Osteoporosis and Osteopenia; Aquatic Therapy; Total Joint Replacement Therapy Program; Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation; Oncology Rehabilitation; Functional Spine Care; and Biomechanical Foot Assessment and Custom Orthotics. In addition, SCPT often offers low cost programs and free community lectures.

“We were so excited to participate and meet seniors and their families. We enjoyed answering questions and listening.” Hoover-Smith said. “Our seniors are one of our most valuable resources and it’s important that we are available to assist them with all their needs. This is one event we didn’t want to miss.”
