WESTBOROUGH _ The staff at South County Physical Therapy, Inc. (SCPT) represented one of 36 teams who recently participated in the Westborough Education Foundation’s (WEF) Seventh Annual Trivia Bee.

A community tradition, the event took place on Nov. 3 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Westborough. It drew hundreds of people and raised more than $16,000 to support educational grants for teachers and administrators from all six of the public schools in Westborough.

For the past five years, SCPT has assembled a three-member team with this year’s team that included Trivia Bee veteran Eric Cardin, Executive Director, SCPT; Jennifer Lenkauskas, Assistant Director, SCPT East Main Street Westborough, and local resident Daniel McGinn, Senior Editor, Harvard Business Review. Last year, the SCPT team was voted the Best Costume champions for appearing as Santa Claus and his elves.

This year’s event drew business and community leaders, along with local parents and teachers who competed for the correct answers to a myriad of trivia questions, all for the bragging rights to be the Trivia Bee Champions. Each participating team donated $450, in support of WEF educational grants. This year’s judges were local town officials Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon, Westborough Library Director Maureen Ambrosino, former Westborough Superintendent of Schools Marianne O’Connor, and Master of Ceremonies Westborough Town Moderator John Arnold.

“As always, we had a great time supporting such a terrific cause,” said SCPT Executive Director Eric Cardin. “This is a great way to involve the entire community with fun, brain power and laughs. We are pleased to be involved in the WEF Trivia Bee each year.”
