WESTBOROUGH _ South County Physical Therapy, Inc. (SCPT) recently announced that Stephanie Braceland has joined the practice as a physical therapist at its 30 Oak Street location in Westborough. SCPT has six convenient locations throughout Central Massachusetts, and has been a leader in physical therapy excellence for over 30 years.

“We are pleased to welcome Stephanie to the SCPT team. In addition to holding a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, she is a certified LSVT® (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment) BIG Clinician, an exercise treatment protocol designed for those with Parkinson’s disease. She will be an asset to our practice and we look forward the positive impact she will make for many patients,” said SCPT Executive Director Eric Cardin.

Before joining SCPT, Braceland studied at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine with a concentration in Physical Therapy, as well as a minor in Moral Philosophy. She completed the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and became a licensed Massachusetts Physical Therapist. Braceland has experience with outpatient therapy, sports medicine, inpatient care, acute rehabilitation, equine-assisted therapies, orthopedics, and neurology.

Braceland believes in the importance of community service and recently volunteered as a medical screener for a Fall Prevention Clinic at Circle Home’s Senior Center in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. During the event, she provided education on fall risks, screened patients for potential balance disturbances, and utilized functional outcome measures to provide feedback to the senior center. She also participated in the Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, held at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and doubled her fundraising expectations.

Stephanie currently resides in the Boston area.
